Statement

I'm interested in the gap between knowing and doing — where bias shapes what we see before we even notice it.

My work often looks like it's holding back — a surface that gives little away at first glance. It only opens up with time: patterns, circles, statistics, traces of make-up, an old photograph underneath, torn and painted over.

I grew up with a different relationship to enough — nothing wasted, little bought, questioned before it was needed. That distance has stayed with me: a quiet discomfort with how easily we look past what we already know.
